Kacio is a traditional container used for storing money, originating from West Sumatra.
The Kacio has a cylindrical shape carved from wood, with a reddish-brown surface that shows signs of aging. Its elongated and slender form resembles a rolling pin, giving it a distinctive and unique appearance.
The decorations on the body of the Kacio are beautifully detailed. Almost the entire cylindrical surface is covered with intricate relief carvings featuring swirling and circular patterns, possibly inspired by floral or vine motifs. On one side, there is a rectangular slit used for inserting banknotes or coins, emphasizing its function as a traditional money box.
